NOOB questions, please advise

I downloaded the trial of the SE software and it's on the whole great. It is the only program that I have been able to figure out how to use.

Just a couple of questions.

I still don't see how to have it mirror in real time. I have had to manually initiate the synchronization for changes I make to my laptop drive to be mirrored on my external. This is not a deal breaker but if this is possible it'd be awesome and I'd love to know how to make it happen.

The second question is about a second profile I made, to backup my entire hard drive to a zip folder. I'd also like to see this make a real time change but more important, my log file says the backup failed and I have about 370 errors. Some files failed to copy, some say "Compression error: The filemask or file entry did not match any existing file." Some say 'Access was denied". They're all obscure files whose purpose is beyond me so I don't know-- can I just ignore these files or come time to restore from a backup am I going to find problems!

Is it possible for someone to take a quick look and let me know if it's probably not worth worrying about? I want to make sure I have this software down and can trust my results before I shell out the money.
