I'm not sure if you've checked this or not, but on my win7 Pro x64 laptop, I've also set the SyncBack program shortcut link to Run this program as an administrator in the shortcut's Properties on the Compatibility tab.

This, in combination with the tips in the KB article Dave mentioned, has eliminated any access denied issues that I had.
