Thanks Dave. So to be clear, what are you saying "yes" to here? The original question was does it recreate anything, is the answer to that yes? Just beneath that you said it just exports the actual .ini files along with any shared settings and database files.
My question was though, does it literally pull the original .ini files from C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\2BrightSparks\SyncBackPro\ and just zip them up (and rename it .sps) or does it actualyl recreate new files and put them in the .sps? If it recreated them it might explain why the profile didn't work on one computer but worked on the next (the export-import process could be repairing a corrupt profile), but if not then it would almost definitely seem to be be a hardware (or other sw) issue.
Used 7zip and took a look inside one of the .sps files or the fun of it, it seems like it takes the original files based on the date modified stamp on the .ini files. They all contain:
JobName_Settings
JobName_sel
JobName_DSettings
The DSettings file seems to be updated most recently, but it seems to have exactly the same content for every profile we exported (on various machines). Actually, never found one of those to be different anywhere. Anyone know what that's used for? Not sure why the date modified stamp would show it was recently updated if nothing ever changed.
